The Upcoming Webinar

April 8, 2024:

Our next webinar will take place on Monday, April 8 at noon (Central time). The University of Florida’s Geoffrey Dahl will present, “The long-term consequences of heat stress in dairy cattle.”

Heat stress takes a toll on lactating cattle and has even more profound effects during late gestation. Evidence shows that the developing fetus is negatively influenced as well. This presentation will cover the heat stress impacts that last long after the initial thermal insult.

The Hoard’s Dairyman webinar series began in January 2011. Senior Associate Editor Abby Bauer hosts the webinar with industry experts serving as presenters.

Webinars are held the second Monday of each month and are broadcasted from noon until 1:00 p.m. Central time. Registered attendees will receive an invitation for each month's program. One registration enrolls you for the whole year.

Hosted By

Hosted by Hoard's Dairyman Managing Editor Abby Bauer, each one-hour webinar will include nationally known and carefully selected presenters who will discuss the most timely and relevant topics and challenges faced by dairy producers today. Presentations will cover input costs, finances, feeds and nutrition, milk quality, and herd management.

The webinars are designed to be interactive. If you have questions during the presentation, they can be typed directly to the presenter, and everyone can learn from the response and discussion. Polls may also be conducted during the webinar to give the presenter an understanding of the audience's demographics.

Our webinars are approved for continuing education units (CEU) from the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists. Each hour-long webinar will earn one CEU. There is no cost to register or view the webinars. Once registered, you will receive e-mail reminders of the webinar date and time. If unable to attend a webinar, they will be recorded and can be accessed later.
