Kasten and Lippert Hired as Genetic Services Intern for Accelerated Genetics

Accelerated Genetics announces the recent hire of Brynn Kasten and Paul Lippert as a Genetic Services Interns. Kasten and Lippert will assist with photographing Accelerated Genetics dairy sires and offspring, which includes selecting, clipping and preparing the cattle. They also assists in hosting tours for international and domestic tour groups.

Kasten grew up in Reedsville, Wis. where her family operates a 130-cow dairy farm. In addition to her involvement on KasBro Registered Holsteins she is also active in the Junior Holstein Association. She also has experience working for Great Northern Land and Cattle Company, Siemers Holsteins and Timber Valley Holsteins assisting with shows, sales and farm labor.

Kasten is a current student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Dairy Science. She is also active in the UW-River Falls Dairy Club where she is serving as 1st Vice President and will co-chair the 2012 Falcon Premier Sale.

Lippert grew up in Pittsville, Wis. where he and his family operate a 400-cow dairy farm. Lippert is currently in partnership with his brother and father at Grass Ridge Farm LLC where he serves as assistant manager. In addition to his involvement at Grass Ridge Farm Lippert has also participated in international work, serving as Genomics Intern for Genes Diffusion Douai in France. Here he analyzed current scientific literature and compose proposals for genomics project.

Lippert is a current student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Dairy Science. He is also active in the UW-River Falls Dairy Club where he served as the 2010 President. Beyond his involvement at UW-River Falls he is active in the Wisconsin State Junior Holstein Association where he co-chaired the 2008 National Holstein Convention.
