Hoard's Dairyman Internship Information

What would your summer involve? Here are just a few highlights:
• The World Dairy Expo Supplement – looking for responsibility? Our intern works with the editorial team to gather articles, plan layout, edit copy, and approve graphic design for a 52-page tabloid magazine; 52 tabloid pages equals 88 pages of a standard-sized, 8-1/2 x 11 magazine.
• The Farm Flash Page – an opportunity to do technical writing. The Farm Flash page gives our intern a chance to be a regular contributor in each issue. When writing the page, he or she will get a chance to review Journal of Dairy Science articles, as well as university press releases.
• Hoard's Dairyman Online – a chance to work with online communication. During the summer experience, our intern gets a chance to learn the in's and out's of the World Wide Web. The site is updated daily, and our intern will be able to create and update articles and graphics for our web site, as well as brainstorming new pages.
• Articles, travel, and more – a wide array of opportunities. During the Hoard's Dairyman experience, interns will get to spend two to three weeks traveling to dairy farms across the U.S. Their goal will be writing farm stories, gathering Round Table leads, along with visiting with and documenting the story of National Dairy Shrines' Student Recognition Winner.
