World Dairy Expo 2012 . . . there’s an app for that. While a printed Expo supplement has been and will continue to be a Hoard’s Dairyman staple, we wanted to enhance the experience for all of our readers who set foot on the Alliant Energy Center grounds or keep tabs on the show from home.

Launched August 20th, our World Dairy Expo App is another tool in your arsenal to navigate the show. Located off the main menu, the dashboard on the left hand side of the screen is your home base when exploring the app and extra content provided by Hoard’s Dairyman staff.

Typically a highlight of the Hoard’s Dairyman Expo Supplement, the exhibitor list and guide helps attendees track down the booths and products they’ve traveled to Madison to see. The app’s interactive exhibitor maps and listings provide an opportunity to search for and locate booths throughout the ever-expanding trade show.

Results from the cattle shows throughout the week will be available via a link to the Hoard’s@ Expo blog. The app will also provide the schedule for and location of the virtual dairy tours and seminars held throughout the week. Breaking news alerts will be delivered directly to your device, while a Madison Info tab allows you to explore what the city and the surrounding area has to offer after the show concludes for the day. There is also a scheduling option to help keep your day on track and ensure you get to everything you came to see.

The free app is available to anyone with a smartphone or tablet. The app can be downloaded by searching “World Dairy Expo” in the Apple App Store (iPhones and iPads), Google Play (Android devices). Users of BlackBerry and all devices can visit http://m.core-apps.com/wdexpo-12 to use the app’s features in their internet browser. Whether this is your first World Dairy Expo or your 40th, the app will provide the most up-to-date information and allow your fingertips to navigate your way through the show with the device of your choosing.
