Merial Provides a Free Online Resource with Valuable Information for Better Herd Management

Merial LogoA free online video is now available to help producers access up-to-date information on strategic parasite control and the impact it can have on their operations' bottom line.

The video segment topic, "Resistance," explains – in simple terms – the cycle of resistance and offers information on the latest technology in parasite control.

"With numerous parasite control products available, it can be overwhelming for producers to evaluate each option," says Steve Vandeberg, Director of Endectocide Marketing, Merial. "We hope this video segment will be a valuable resource for producers so they can make decisions when it comes to parasite control and resistance."

LONGRANGE® (eprinomectin), launched by Merial in December 2012, provides the latest technology in parasite control that producers are looking for, while eliminating the need for multiple treatments per season.1 Its THERAPHASE™ formulation offers unique pharmacokinetics that allow LONGRANGE to work for an extended period of time and then quickly leave the animal's system. The short amount of time at sub-therapeutic concentrations helps ensure LONGRANGE doesn't select for resistance any more than other current dewormers.2,3

The video is online at http://thelongrangelook.com/resources.php. Additional educational segments are also available, as well as testimonial videos of producers explaining how they've successfully incorporated LONGRANGE into their operations' parasite control programs.

*LONGRANGE is a prescription product and must be obtained through a prescription from a veterinarian.
