"Denim and Diamonds" Barn Dance set for March 28
The Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom and Wisconsin FFA Foundation are hosting a barn dance benefit to support agricultural youth leaders and agricultural literacy across the state.
Located at the Barn at Harvest Moon Pond in Poynette (N3540 Wisconsin 22), the "Denim and Diamonds" barn dance will feature entertainment by the Soggy Prairie Boys a bluegrass/country group brought together in 2002 by their connection to FFA.
"The Soggy Prairie Boys were brought together by the Wisconsin FFA Talent Competition," says Sara Schoenborn, Wisconsin FFA Foundation Executive Director. "They share a passion for both agriculture and music. Naturally we feel they can provide the perfect atmosphere for celebrating agricultural education and literacy across the state."
Tickets are $25 and include admission, hors d'oeuvres and light refreshments. The event will run from 7 11 p.m. and will also include a 50-50 raffle and silent auction.
"We are excited to kick up our heels with friends and supporters to provide an evening of fun and entertainment while simultaneously advocating for agricultural education," says Wendy Kannel, Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom Coordinator. "We invite anyone with an interest in agriculture to join us for this unique fundraising experience!"

The Ag in the Classroom is a program to help students K-12 to understand the importance of agriculture.
