The 53rd All-American Dairy Show is set for September 17-22, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.

"We look forward to hosting this annual event as it provides dairy producers from across the country a chance to showcase their quality animals and improve their farm businesses," said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. "It also serves a launching pad for young people interested in dairying to learn more about the industry by participating in the shows, contests and other activities, as well as interacting with experts."

The four-day Premier National Youth Events, themed "Stars in the Spotlight," kicks off Saturday, September 17, with the Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show and concludes with the 4-H and FFA Dairy Judging Forum and Junior Management Contest on Tuesday, September 20. Other youth events include a youth social event featuring a talent contest, scavenger hunt and pizza party, the Youth Showmanship Contest, Invitational Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Contest, and the culmination of the show with the Supreme Champion pageant.

The Pennsylvania Fall Holstein Championship Show is slated for Tuesday, September 20. The open dairy shows also kick off that day and will follow the same schedule as the 2015 show.

The updated trade show will include interactive booths, exhibits and displays with more than 80 vendor companies. Exhibitors are also invited to the "Come Snack with the Vendors" event to visit one-on-one with industry representatives.

Other returning events include the "Exhibitor Appreciation Dinner," hosted by Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program, which will take place Sunday, September 18, in the PA Preferred™ Banquet Hall. The Eastern Elite Sale will also return, offering elite genetics for purchase on Tuesday, September 20.

The annual event concludes with the Supreme Champion Pageant and the selection of the top cow, heifer and bred and owned animal.

The All-American Dairy Show features 22 shows in six days in addition to the nation's only all-dairy antiques show. Last year's show featured nearly 3,000 animals and 1,500 exhibitors from around the country.
