Wayne KielANIMART, LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of longtime employee, Wayne Keil. As a Territory Manager serving producers in Eastern Wisconsin, Keil will use his wealth of experience and unique understanding of dairy science to help guide producers, and provide solutions for success.

Keil's career at ANIMART began in 1990, making him the most longstanding employee at the thirty-four year old company. His first position involved the mixing and delivering of mineral for dairy cow rations, but he quickly moved into route truck sales, which kept him traveling throughout the eastern half of Wisconsin for fifteen years. In addition to the valuable on-farm experience, those years brought many changes to both the company and to Keil's personal life, which grew to include a wife and a baby on the way. Keil decided it was time to get off the road, and felt a spot in the corporate office would be a better fit. He spent the next six years in various corporate roles, first as Delivery Coordinator for route sales as well as assisting in the Purchasing department as the needs of the company changed as it grew. Keil's most recent position was with ANIMART's Marketing department, as Senior Market Analyst, where he was responsible for working with vendors and exploring new product offerings.

As much as Wayne enjoyed his various office roles, he never stopped feeling the pull of his true passion: being out in the field, working directly with producers. The education he gained from the UW-Madison's Farm and Industry Short Course, along with the years of varied experience both on-farm and off, make him uniquely qualified to understand the needs of dairy producers.

Senior Sales Manager, Tom Klas, is thrilled to have Keil on his team, saying "Having Wayne on-farm will be a great resource, both to producers and to ANIMART. Not only does he have a thorough knowledge of dairy science, showmanship and beef, an awareness of manufacturer programs and rebates, but he also has a warm, welcoming personality that just makes him easy to work with."

Over the past twenty-five years, Keil has seen the company grow from 12 employees to over 112, which means employees positioned to offer specialized value to producers in roles such as Territory Manager, Inside Sales Support, Veterinarian and even a Milk Quality Specialist.

"The one thing that has stayed a constant through all the changes and growth at ANIMART," said Keil, "is the true passion for the dairy industry and serving the customers to our best ability."
