Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity is hosting the third annual Dairy Dash 5K Fun Run. The run will take place on the morning of Sunday, May 1, 2016, along the Lakeshore Path of the UW-Madison campus.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) in memory of John Klossner of Mount Horeb, Wis.

This philanthropic event is a way for the community and the brothers of AGR to remember Klossner, a member of AGR who passed away as a result of a brain trauma sustained from an accident at the Wisconsin State Fair in August 2013.

"We feel so blessed that the members of AGR came together to do this," said Kristin Klossner, Klossner's sister.

Anyone can participate in the run or donate to the cause. More than $7,000 has been raised to support the BIAA over the past two years. More information about the philanthropy can be found at www.wisconsinagr.com/run.

Klossner would have graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in dairy science this May.

"After losing John, I learned how close of a family the agriculture industry is," said Kristin Klossner. "I think he is with us every time we are at the Dairy Dash. We love what the brothers have done and continue to do. The Dairy Dash helps to bring people together."

Alpha Gamma Rho is the fraternity sharing a common bond within a dynamic, global agriculture committed to fostering the highest values and providing each and every brother with superior lifelong personal development and professional success.
