Victoria Baker receives National Outstanding Young Guernsey Famer award

Zoetis logoVictoria Baker received the National Outstanding Young Guernsey Farmer award at this month's American Guernsey Association National Convention in Tulsa, Okla. This award is given each year to an individual or couple who have shown noticeable accomplishments and potential in their work with Registered Guernseys. The honor reflects Baker's tireless work with Zoetis and her customers, at her farm and with fellow Guernsey enthusiasts.

Baker is a senior territory business manager for Zoetis. At home, she and her husband, Michael, work to improve their Guernsey herd in southwestern Pennsylvania. Along with an already busy schedule, Baker has served as a 4-H Club leader, dairy bowl coach, and past Penn State Dairyman and Pennsylvania Guernsey Breeders' Association director.

"Victoria has been a positive influence not only for Guernsey breeders around the country, but for Zoetis as well," said Julian Garcia, Regional Business Director, Eastern Region for the Zoetis U.S. Cattle & Equine Team. "As an employee, she is dedicated to finding ways to always improve her herd. She treats her dairy operation as a business, and she has implemented many lessons from her work at Zoetis into her and Michael's operation."

Baker's past accomplishments include earning the Zoetis Outstanding Contribution Award in 2012 for her contributions to the Zoetis team. She also is the past recipient of the Pfizer Animal Health Two Boots award and earned a member spot on the Pfizer Animal Health President's Circle in 2005, 2006 and 2011.
