Nominate leaders in the dairy industry for the 2015 World Dairy Expo Recognition Award program. Exhibitors, producers, organizations and academic staff are encouraged to nominate people that should be considered for one of the four award categories.
Applications are now available and will be accepted through February 15, 2015.
Recognition Awards will be presented in the following categories:
Dairy Woman and Dairyman of the Year will be presented to individuals who are active dairy producers and whose primary source of income is derived from their dairy operation. Her/his farming operation needs to demonstrate and excel in the breeding of quality animals and efficient production. Progressive management practices, along with involvement in community, government activities, breed organizations and other aspects of the dairy industry will be considered.
Industry Person of the Year recognizes an individual for excellence in research, development, education, marketing or other fields that are part of the dairy industry.
International Person of the Year will be honored for significantly contributing to international relations, business development, trade and cooperation in the dairy industry.
The 2015 World Dairy Expo Recognition Award winners will be honored at the Dinner with the Stars banquet during Expo on Wednesday, September 30, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
