All FFA members, supporters and guests are welcome to attend.

FFA logoThe 85th annual Wisconsin FFA Convention dates are set for June 9-12, 2014. The event typically draws more than 3,400 participants at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Attendance is open to FFA members, alumni, industry partners and anyone interested in celebrating the success of agricultural education in Wisconsin.

There is no registration fee to attend the convention, which is possible due in part to support from hundreds of donors and sponsors. While nearly all of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation's donors play a role in supporting the event in some way, the Convention Partners are the biggest source of underwriting the convention expenses with their donations between $250 and $10,000. To support the 2014 event as a convention partner, contributions must be completed by March 30. For more information, visit http://wisconsinffafoundation.org/partnership_options/.

Award recognition is one of the primary purposes of the convention, with approximately 1,000 Wisconsin FFA members receiving on-stage accolades for their achievements. This acknowledgement has been known to encourage younger members in the audience to see the opportunities available and set their own goals for the following year. The three main award categories – proficiency awards, career development events (judging contests) and speaking contests – are all supported by Special Project Partners, who provide incentives such as cash awards, trophies, plaques and pins.

"The convention is the most-anticipated event of the year for our FFA members," says Sara Schoenborn, Wisconsin FFA Foundation Executive Director. "The members work hard all year in hopes of being recognized on stage before the crowd of thousands. We are proud to see so many partners play a supporting role in those endeavors."
