The three annual events raised $26,500 in support of agricultural education and FFA

The Wisconsin FFA Foundation is pleased to announce its annual summer golf outings have raised more than $26,500 in three separate events held around the state in July.

The 2015 Northwest outing took place in Eau Claire on July 20, followed by the Northeast event in Wrightstown on July 21 and the Southern outing in Middleton on July 27. Together, the three events welcomed approximately 280 golfers, and were sponsored by nearly 90 area businesses and agricultural organizations.

The proceeds from the combined golf outings contribute significantly to the Foundation's annual fund, a vital source of financial provision for the organization. During the 2014-15 year, the Wisconsin FFA Foundation's annual fund supplemented 23 Proficiency Award areas and Career Development Events. It also significantly aided in the 2014-15 state officer team training and leadership training materials.

"The 2015 golf outings were a great success because of our generous sponsors and those who joined us on the courses each day," says Sara Schoenborn, Wisconsin FFA Foundation Executive Director. "We continue to increase the amount of financial support raised for agricultural education and FFA through these events and are thankful to everyone involved."

Mark your calendars for the 2016 Wisconsin FFA Foundation Golf Outings: Northwest – July 11, Northeast – July 12 and Southern – July 25. For more information on registration and sponsorship opportunities, watch the Events tab at www.wisconsinffafoundation.org.
