Westar proudly introduces the launch of their new cow prep system called the Udder Gun. For years, the benefits of using a teat scrubber for prepping cows in a parlor have been widely known. Up until this point, your only choice has been using one of the high maintenance, electrical driven, rotary brush type teat scrubbers. The Udder Gun eliminates the bad problems of the old brush units, while improving the ergonomics, cleaning, and most importantly, the cow's letdown. Terry Ewert, the inventor, was born and raised on a dairy farm in Colby, WI. With his background in farming and over 25 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, he engineered the most effective cow prep system on the market.

The Udder Gun System uses no confusing PLC's or electronics, everything in the system is mechanically operated by air and water pressure, making maintenance easy, with zero chance of stray voltage. Between the Udder Gun website, www.uddergun.com, dealer network, and qualified service techs, the Udder Gun team is ready to serve. The Udder Gun website provides you with the details of the Udder Gun System and other service products to keep your system running smoothly. In addition, you can see pictures of installed systems or easily find a local dealer to contact for more information.

The Udder Gun System comes standard with two guns for washing, disinfecting, and stimulating cows for better let down. It also comes with two flush holsters designed to clean the guns, a water prep unit which can be mounted in a utility room near the parlor, and three primary hoses which transfer the water and air supply from the water prep out to the guns. The Udder Gun itself only weighs 2 1/2 lbs and with it's ergonomic pistol grip design, the user won't be fatigued midway through their shift.

The Udder Gun System is designed for any style of parlor from 100 cows up to 6000 cows. Some farms with the system installed have recorded a decrease of nearly 25,000 SCC, an increase in milk production of 2%, and a decrease in milking times by almost 10%, due to faster prep times and quicker let down. With no more dirty towels to clean, faster milking times, and less chemical usage the Udder Gun is sure to pay for itself quickly and make the farmer more money.
