The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB) has cited 25 individual County Dairy Leader Groups for outstanding work in local dairy promotion efforts with cash awards in eight promotional categories.

"Wisconsin's dairy promotion groups serve as vital arms and legs in delivering important dairy messages to consumers in local communities," said Becky Kronberg, manager of Local Markets Communications at WMMB. "This program allows us to reward groups for their hard work and grassroot efforts."

County Dairy Leader Groups highlighted their best dairy promotion activities or events carried out from November 2013 to October 2014. Applications were judged on several criteria including event/activity execution, originality, educational purpose, media coverage, visibility and suggestions for future improvement. Groups submitted applications on a variety of events such as dairy breakfasts, retail promotions, classroom education and dairy-related community events and programs.
