The Wisconsin FFA Foundation announces its 2015 summer Golf Outings. All three events are open to the public, and benefit the Foundation's annual fund, a cornerstone of financial support for Wisconsin FFA and agricultural education in the state. The Golf Outings are the Wisconsin FFA Foundation's largest annual fundraisers, and in 2014 provided nearly $28,000 in support for this important fund.

The outings are an 18-hole, best-ball scramble format for teams of four golfers. The 2015 dates are as follows:

  • Monday, July 20: Northwest Outing in Eau Claire at the Wild Ridge Golf Course

  • Tuesday, July 21: Northeast Outing in Wrightstown at Royal St. Patrick's Golf Links

  • Monday, July 27: Southern Outing at Pleasant View Golf Course in Middleton

The final golfer registration deadline is July 10, though participants signed up by June 20 will be entered into a drawing to win a cash prize. Registration is $80 per person for each outing, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, continental breakfast and a buffet lunch program hosted by a local celebrity guest.

To register, call (608) 831-5058 ext. 1, or visit www.wisconsinffafoundation.org/events . The luncheon program is available for non-golfers at $15 per ticket. Donations for live and silent auctions, as well as outing sponsorships are always welcome. The 2015 brochure and explanation of sponsorship opportunities also can be found online.

"Our annual golf outings are a great way for local businesses around the state to meet and mingle with current customers, potential clients and most importantly, other agricultural advocates," says Sara Schoenborn, Executive Director of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation. "The Wisconsin FFA Foundation truly appreciates the generosity of our sponsors and golfers each year. It is always fun to see familiar faces and meet new friends throughout Wisconsin."

The Wisconsin FFA Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, unites individuals, organizations and companies who share a common interest in the advancement of agriculture and community leadership through FFA. You can support today's FFA members by supporting the programs that have been core tenets of the FFA: proficiency awards, career development events, state FFA degrees, sectional leadership workshops, scholarships, chapter awards, agri-science fair, state FFA convention and state officer support.
