Non-profit seeks leader to spearhead growth, capital campaign



The Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Agricultural Education Center (WAEC) announces the organization has initiated a search for an executive director. WAEC is a growing non-profit organization with an ambitious plan to educate people of all ages on the importance of agriculture with a focus on community, food processing and safety, dairy production, other agriculture commodities, and environmental stewardship. WAEC plans to build an interactive attraction that will provide visitors with an understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from and the importance of agriculture in their lives. The center will showcase Wisconsin's rich agricultural history and adaptation to modern technology to serve the needs of our growing population.

The executive director will report to the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Agricultural Education Center (WAEC) and be responsible for day-to-day management and growth of the center, as well as the achievement of its mission and financial objectives. "We seek a dynamic individual with a passion for agriculture to help us move forward to the next phase of our development which includes a capital campaign," says Julie Maurer, Board President of WAEC. "We are poised to make a difference in the public's understanding of the importance of agriculture to our state, and we are excited to find the right person to coordinate and lead our efforts."
