In-line with company expansion and a customer-centered focus, Verdesian Life Sciences names Amy Bugg as vice president of communications. In her role, Bugg will oversee the execution of all promotional strategies for the corporate brand and the complete product portfolio.

"The strategic expertise and tactical planning experience Amy brings to our communications department will help fuel growth; providing enhanced support to our plant nutrition and seed treatment and inoculant teams," said Greg Thompson, chief operating officer for Verdesian. "Our primary goal is to bring our customers solutions-based technology – Amy knows how and where to communicate that message throughout the marketplace."

Bugg comes to Verdesian with more than 18 years of marketing communications experience. Most recently she served as account supervisor at agriculture communications agencies such as Omaha-based Swanson Russell and Kansas City-based McCormick Company. In these roles, she provided strategic direction and led account teams for both advertising and public relations campaigns. Bugg is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications.
