World Dairy Expo is pleased to welcome Melissa VanderSanden, Oregon, Wis., as Program Assistant. Her duties will include providing program support for World Dairy Expo and all WDE Management, Inc. entities, coordinating Expo school tours, and assisting with Expo Recognition and Friends of Expo Banquets. She will also provide support to all staff members to assist with program needs.
VanderSanden graduated in 2014 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science. While there, she was active in the Badger Dairy Club, serving as the 2013 Expo Showring Co-Chair and the 2014 Expo Business Co-Chair. She was also an active member of the Association of Women in Agriculture, Sigma Alpha-Alpha Tau and Saddle and Sirloin. She is also no stranger to the Dane County Fair, serving as the 2013-14 Dane County Fairest of the Fair. Growing up, she was very active in the Oregon Headliners 4-H Club, and continues to volunteer her time as a Shooting Sports leader, serving on the Dane County Potato Stand Committee and is the Co-Chair on the Dane County Fairest of the Fair Committee.
