USJersey Seeks Creative People to Generate Excitement for Jersey Sustainability Story

Finalists Will Be Selected for Innovative Advertising and Marketing Plans

USJerseyAn advertising and marketing contest to connect consumers and retailers with producers of Jersey milk was announced today by the American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA) and National All-Jersey Inc. (NAJ).

"We want to get people excited about dairy products that are sustainably produced," said NAJ President David Endres, Lodi, Wis., "and dairymen who milk Jersey cows want them to know we take sustainability to heart.

"Because they need less water, less land and less energy to produce their high-protein, nutritious milk, Jersey cows have all the extras!"

The contest, linked from www.USJersey.com, will recognize the work of up to ten finalists who best turn the Jersey sustainability story into marketing action.

"We are casting a wide net in looking for fresh ideas expressed as a single ad in any medium or as worked-out marketing campaigns," explained Neal Smith, CEO of the organizations.

"This is an opportunity for creative people in the dairy community and especially ag marketing students to put their minds to work and tell a great story about the sustainability of Jersey milk production."

Finalists in the single-spot Advertising category will receive an award of $500. Finalists in the Marketing Campaign category will receive $1,500. Entry deadline is May 15 and awards will be announced at the 2014 annual meetings of the Jersey organizations from June 25 through 28 in Alexandria, Va.
