COMPUTERS GO OFFLINE FOR SERVER UPGRADE THIS WEEKENDThe AJCA databases are moving to their new computer homes this weekend in another phase of comprehensive hardware and software upgrades.
The move starts tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern and will take all day Saturday and Sunday to complete.
USJersey websites and online services should be back online when we open the office doors Monday, August 25 at 8:00 a.m. But if we run into a snag, we'll make sure you have updates via the USJersey Facebook and Twitter pages.
REGISTRATION COUNT FOR 2014: 70,000 ... and growing
Registrations continue to run ahead of 2013's record year (112,265), and just reached 70,000 for the year! For a bit more perspective, just 10 years ago, the AJCA registered 73,030 for the entire year!
Remember that you get the lowest registration fee when you register calves before they reach six months of age. So check your records to figure out who needs to be registered, and be ready when infoJersey comes back online Monday.

Objective: To assist the General Manager in effective, efficient delivery of customer services, the maintenance of membership and other company resources, economic analysis, and the development and marketing of the programs and services of National All-Jersey Inc.
Title: Production Assistant
Objective: To produce catalogs for Jersey Marketing Service (JMS) and other JMS information as requested. Work with the Jersey Journal with the production of the monthly magazine. In addition, provide support to the Treasurer as needed.
Title: Customer Service Specialist
Objective: To provide support to Herd Services, Research and Genetic Programs and Development departments

IT'S TIME TO TRANSFER
Time 2 Transfer is underway. Between now and December 8, any Registered Jersey with a date of sale January 1, 2011 or later can be transferred to the new owner at the under 60-day fee. Compared to the after 60-day fee ($17.00), that's a savings of $3.00 per animal for non-REAP herds, and $5.00 for those enrolled on REAP.
The price drops another $2 per animal when you use infoJersey, or submit in groups using Excel spreadsheets, reports generated from herd management software, or field-delimited text files. Contact the helpful staff in Herd Services for more information.
MAKE PLANS NOW FOR THE ALL AMERICAN
The finest Registered Jerseys in the world will take center stage when The 62nd All American Jersey Show & Sale returns November 8, 9 and 10 to the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky.
