USDAA top priority at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is ensuring that all USDA applicants, customers, constituents, and stakeholders are provided equal access to the opportunities, programs, and services available through the "People's Department." This includes membership on industry boards so that they reflect the diversity of the individuals served by the programs.

The terms of office for 12 members of the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (Board) will expire October 31, 2014. USDA is requesting that dairy producersand all interested parties nominate candidates to serve on the Board. Enclosed for your information is a press release, an Invitation to Nominate Dairy Producers to Serve as Members of the Board, Background Information Form (AD-755), and a Nomination Form (DA-19).

Please forward this information to all interested parties and those eligible for nomination. USDA encourages all eligible women, minorities, and persons with disabilities to seek nomination to serve on the Board. Nominations must be submitted by May 15, 2015.

Please note that if AMS does not receive nominations by May 15, 2015, a delay in board appointments might result and prevent new appointees from attending the first board meeting.

Information regarding nominations is also available on the Agricultural Marketing Service's Web site at www.ams.usda.gov/dairy. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Hoover of the Promotion, Research, and Planning Division at (202) 720-1069, or by email, jill.hoover@ams.usda.gov.
