Select Sires’ current high-components lineup continues to lead all breeds for type, production and fitness traits, and is even stronger with the addition of four significant graduates. Four Select Sires Jerseys rank in the top 10 for Jersey Performance Index™ (JPI™), including the three new Jersey graduates, 7JE1038 All Lynns Louie VALENTINO-ET (GJPI +219), 7JE1046 Sunrise/Hackline Bungy ZIPPER (GJPI +203) and 236JE136 ISDK DJ HULK (GJPI +203). After a successful fall show season, 7BS901 Mort Blessing Dynsty JAVA (M) “E90” maintains his No. 1 Type (+1.0) ranking in the Brown Swiss breed. 7GU398 Sniders Ronalds ALSTAR remains at the top of active Guernsey A.I. sires for Milk (+1,221), Production Type Index (PTI) (+169) and Net Merit (+$510). 7AY84 Palmyra Tri-Star BURDETTE-ET continues to be the No. 1 Type (+2.1) sire in the Ayrshire breed while 7AY87 Anmar Peter POWER-ET is still the No. 1 PTI (+565) and Milk (+1,273) active A.I. sire.

Leading the graduating class is the popular former Super Sampler™, VALENTINO. A 7JE738 BHF-SSF Parade LOUIE-ET son from the well-known D&E Paramount Violet (E-90%), VALENTINO debuts as the No. 5 GJPI and No. 2 Type sire (+2.3). He transmits moderate frames, youthful udders and longevity (+3.6 PL).

7BS826 Oak View Zeus AUGUST *TM joins the lineup as a top 10 Progressive Performance Ranking (PPR) (+140) and Type (+0.7) sire. The sire of the 2011 All-American summer yearling, AUGUST is a Calving Ease sire (5%DBH). A rare Zeus son that comes from five generations of high-producing, Excellent and Very Good dams, he is a components improver (+.06%F, +.04%P) and one of the breed’s best for Somatic Cell Score (2.58) and PL (+2.6). AUGUST ranks well on a variety of indexes and is among the top 10 active A.I. sires and Select’s best, for Cheese Merit (+$395), Net Merit (+$336) and Fluid Merit (+$269).
