Recently, the Select Sires Communications team was honored during the annual Cooperative Communicators Association (CCA) Institute held in Indianapolis, Ind.

Each year members of CCA can enter the communications contest in the divisions of writing, publications, photography and programs and projects. Seasoned professionals serve as judges who offer instructional critiques and top-rated entries earn recognition at the annual CCA Institute. More than 700 entries were evaluated.

The team earned several accolades for their work with the Showcase Selections™ program, promoting sires that produce the next generation of show winners. The annual Showcase Selections brochure received a second place award in the brochures, pamphlets and one-time publications (budget less than $5,000) category. The mirror signage at World Dairy Expo that featured the Showcase Selections program earned the second place miscellaneous promotional honor while the eight-page Showcase Selections pull-out advertisement was named honorable mention in print advertising. A third place honor was awarded to the 50th anniversary breeding calendar in the miscellaneous print category while the team placed second in social media with Select Sires' Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts.
