Lynn Nagengast and Mary Rosiejka will be taking on new roles with the company – Rosiejka at the newest laboratory location, Rock River Laboratory – North Central Wisconsin (RRL-NCWI), and Nagengast at the Watertown, Wis. company headquarters.

In her new position as Research and Development Assistant, Lynn Nagengast will be taking an active role in the feedstuffs laboratory, fostering in vitro and in situ analysis, while helping coordinate special research projects. Nagengast will also be outlining her own research project, as Rock River Laboratory strives to progress the industry through their support of continued education and research.

"Lynn's animal science background and previous research with Dr. Adam Lock of Michigan State University are invaluable to her role with Rock River Laboratory," says John Goeser, animal nutrition, research and innovation director for Rock River Laboratory. "We're thrilled to offer Lynn a new opportunity for the next chapter in her scientific career. We're confident that, with our guidance and support, she will continue to establish herself in the scientific community while spearheading breakthroughs that can help the agriculture industry continue to grow and develop through science."

A recent college graduate, Nagengast originally hails from Farmington Hills, Michigan, but found her passion for agriculture, specifically dairy cattle, while pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University. During her time at Michigan State, Nagengast took on a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Adam Lock in the Lipid Analysis Laboratory there. Spending time analyzing a variety of samples for fatty acids, she conducted her own research projects under Dr. Lock and presented his research at local, regional, and national meetings. Through a study abroad opportunity, Nagengast was also able to grow her knowledge of dairy husbandry and environmental stewardship with visits to various farms, factories, and universities through the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.

Mary Rosiejka's new position as lab manager at RRL-NCWI will focus her attention on conducting and managing feedstuff sample analysis for the Colby, Wis. laboratory.

"Mary's strong work ethic, knowledge of the region, and care for our customer's needs are valuable components of our mission at Rock River Laboratory – NCWI," says Zac Meyer, Rock River Laboratory director of operations. "Her attention to detail and accuracy is impeccable, making it easy for us to trust our customers' samples in her hands, and we hope our customers feel they can rely on the capabilities of the new laboratory because of her."

Rosiejka has extensive experience in customer service as a representative for various companies throughout her career repertoire. At age 14, her family moved from Chicago, Ill. to a dairy farm in Withee, Wis., where she gained experience in the field of animal agriculture and agronomy while working side by side with her father on the farm.
