On March 27, in a communication distributed by DuPont Pioneer, a research study was incorrectly attributed to DuPont Pioneer agronomy research. The research entitled, Identifying factors controlling the continuous corn yield penalty, is a University of Illinois study led by Laura Flint Gentry, Ph.D. A paper summarizing the U of I study was written by DuPont Pioneer employee Andy Hegenstaller, agronomy research manager, and the communication distributed to media was entitled:

Yield Limiting Factors in Continuous Corn Production.
