Announcing the 2013 National Red & White Convention in New York

RWDCAThe Red & White Dairy Cattle Association extends an invitation to all Red enthusiasts to attend the 2013 National Red & White Convention, hosted by the Darren and Heather Carlstrom in Dunkirk, New York “Fine Cows & Fine Wines, Both of the Red and White Kind.” Festivities are scheduled for August 13-15 in Dunkirk, New York. Mark you calendars to attend this year’s convention!

Tuesday, August 13th:
The 2013 National Red & White Convention begins with the RWDCA director meeting. As convention attendees begin to arrive, registration will be at the Clarion Hotel and there will be time to socialize and explore the local sights. Also, plan to attend the "Kick-Off" Party at our hosts' farm, C & W Farms, LLC. There will be a Beef BBQ Dinner, Cheese and Wine Tasting, Raffle Giveaway, and the opportunity to get to know your hosts and see their cattle.

Wednesday, August 14th:
Attendee registration continues at the Clarion. Board the bus at 8:00 a.m. from the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds to attend farm and wine tours. The bus will stop at Saxton Hill and Wall Street Holstein Farms and at Noble & 21 Bix Wineries. Also, a courtesy robotic milker tour from Chad Fredd is included with the tours. After the tours, the evening will include the annual meeting, banquet and awards at The Red House in Cassadaga, New York. Also be sure to watch the RWDCA’s National Red & White Queen contest that will be held during the banquet. Reserve your bus seat and meal soon! The costs of the Banquet and the Farm & Wine Bus Tours are both $15 each ($30 total) when paid by July 31st.

Thursday, August 15th:
The National Red & White Convention concludes with the 44th National Red & White Convention Sale. At the sale there will be pre-sale refreshments sponsored by Wall Street Dairy and MD-Hillbrook, and will kick off the start to the select offering of 80 Red & Whites beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds. The 44th National Red & White Cattle sale will be managed by MD-Hillbrook; Chris and Jennifer Hill. An online catalog will be available for your viewing at www.redandwhitecattle.com. The sale is featuring online bidding for the group of cattle featuring type, unique genomics, deep pedigrees and polled genetics. Also be sure to purchase your raffle ticket for the amazing opportunity to be the winner of choosing from 10 deep pedigreed heifers. Proceeds go towards the Red & White Albrecht Memorial Scholarship and the 50th National Red & White Convention. These are heifers that anyone would be happy to have bred or potentially own. Be sure to have the winning ticket to add one of these heifers to your herd!
