describe pixtThe 1st #PolledPlace Tag Sale & Polled Education Workshop will be held June 18-21, 2015 in beautiful Green County, Monroe, Wisconsin. This is the first sale in the US to offer 100% Polled or naturally hornless animals.

Briar Holsteins, Brian & Sue Crull and family will be hosting the sale and the sale will be managed by Polled Dairy Cattle #PolledPlace. The animals offered at this sale are naturally born without horns and do not need to go through the dehorning process. Live animals, embryos and choice lots have been consigned from breeders across the country. Several breeds of dairy cattle will be represented including Brown Swiss, Holsteins, Jerseys, Milking Shorthorns and Red & Whites. A Polled Silent Auction will also be held that includes Polled semen donated by various breeders and AI companies. Proceeds from the Polled Silent Auction will go towards starting a Polled Education Fund for the education of Polled at youth events, colleges/universities and other dairy events.

What is Polled? How does Polled work? What's the difference between Heterozygous and Homozygous Polled? Is Polled a dominant or recessive trait? Are Polled genetics as good as horned genetics? These are just a few of the questions that people are asking about Polled. A Polled Education Workshop will be held during the #PolledPlace Tag Sale on Saturday, June 20th at 1:00pm and will include a complimentary lunch. Everyone is welcome to attend! Polled breeders and representatives from the AI companies will be present to share their thoughts, experiences and future plans with Polled Dairy Cattle.

The #PolledPlace Tag Sale catalog and updates are available online at www.polleddairycattle.com . Sale prices will be released at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 18th with the sale concluding on Sunday, June 21st.
