PDPWThe Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin (PDPW) announces their 100-Pound Dairy Tours™ October 15, 16, and 17, 2013.

Milk production per cow is a strong indicator of economic and production efficiency. This year's 100-Pound Dairy Tours will highlight nine innovative Wisconsin dairies where 100 pounds of milk per cow per day is the norm.

The 100-Pound Dairy Tours will look at how these dairies are driving down somatic cell count, getting cows pregnant faster, culling less for reproductive failure and making cow comfort programs a priority. The tour will also check out how these dairies are using technology to make more timely and informed decisions.

Attend one day, two days or all three days as PDPW tours Central Sands Dairy, Maple Ridge Dairy, Feltz Family Farms, Harmony Ho Holsteins, JTP Farms, Selz Farm, Nehls Brothers Farms, Kutz Dairy and JC-Kow Farms.

The 100-Pound Dairy Tours are scheduled for October 15, 16 and 17, 2013. The first day of tours will depart from the Target parking lot in Steven Point, Wis.; 5300 U.S. Highway 10, Stevens Point, Wis. Day two tours will gather and leave at the Chippewa Valley Technical College, 11 Tiff Ave., Neillsville, Wis. Day three tours will depart from the PDPW Headquarters, 820 N. Main St., Juneau, Wis.
