PDPWProfessional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin (PDPW) will offer a specialized training session, Your Farm's Story – Building an Effective Community Outreach Plan, to help dairy farmers learn how to tell their story within their neighborhood and communities. The training will be held Tuesday, June 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the PDPW headquarters, 820 N. Main Street, in Juneau, Wis.

Participants will learn how to define a farm's strengths and communicate them to key audiences within their community. They will also learn how common tools such as social media, on-farm events, and community support can help establish their farm as a valued member of the community. After sharing ideas for how to best engage the public, participants will build outreach plans for their farms - including goals, activities, timing and resources needed, plus metrics for evaluation.

Due to limited space, advanced registration is required. To register for the June 16 training session, contact PDPW at 800-947-7379, or visit www.pdpw.org. This training is open to PDPW farm members and non-PDPW farm members.

This training session is the fourth module in the PDPW Dairy's Visible Voice® training series, which helps dairy farmers enhance leadership skills through improved communication to their customers and consumers. This training is designed and held exclusively for farmers. Organizations, companies or other individuals interested in hosting one or more modules of Dairy's Visible Voice can contact PDPW for more information. Each module is a stand-alone training session.
