The Professional Dairy Producers® will be offering three producer focused educational events in January. The programs highlighted below are developed by producers for producers, and bring the latest ideas, cutting-edge research and techniques to assist dairy farmers with meeting their business goals.

  • Jan. 27, Fond du Lac, Wis. – Dairy's Visible Voice® "Sharing Your Message with the Media"
World Class Webinars, "Treatment Update: 5 Keys to Maximizing Results of Clinical Mastitis Treatments," Wednesday, Jan. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. online. In this third and final webinar in the "Healthy Udders, Optimal Milk" series, Dr. Pam Ruegg, DVM with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will discuss effective antibiotic treatments for mastitis. More specifically, Dr. Ruegg will highlight five factors that should be considered before treating a cow with clinical mastitis and how correctly administering antibiotics can result in more efficient and effective mastitis treatments. Pre-registration is required.

Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals™, Tuesday through Thursday, Jan. 19-21, San Antonio, Texas. This annual leadership academy is structured to help top level managers face challenges and position their businesses for success. The three day event features a specialized combination of in-class training and educational industry tours. The in-class training sessions are focused on conflict resolution among employees and effective crisis communication, while the tours will showcase three local agriculture businesses who will share their innovative marketing strategies and keys to connecting with consumers. Registration is limited to the first 100 attendees.

Dairy's Visible Voice® "Sharing Your Message with Media" Workshop, Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fond du Lac, Wis., will help producers develop their communications skills with the media. The hands-on practice session will assist in developing a better understanding of media, creating an effective message and building confidence when communicating with the different media outlets. Pre-registration is required.
