More than ten abstracts addressed ruminant health and nutrition



Novus research scientists and collaborators presented more than ten abstracts focused on ruminant health and nutrition at the 2012 Joint Annual Meeting (JAM) of the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) and the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA), held in Phoenix, Arizona on July 15-17, 2012.

The latest insight and discoveries presented covered a range of topics including leg injuries and lameness in dairy cows, comparison of chelated vs. inorganic trace minerals in beef heifers, the effect of an antioxidant on the response of lactating dairy cows to heat stress, evaluation of the rumen escape of methionine precursors, the effects of zinc concentration on performance and carcass characteristics of feedlot steers, and much more.
