The new MDS xx.1 series fertilizer spreaders, available in working widths of 33' to 59' and capacities of 17.5 to 67 cubic feet, replace the prior MDS 5 series. This new series offers improvements geared toward vineyards and orchards as well as other applications.

The Direct Flow Control (DFC) system allows for easy and accurate adjustment of application rates and distribution settings from one field to another, saving time. The slow-rotating agitator provides gentle handling of seed and fertilizer, while maintaining consistent material flow without plugging. To provide long working life, agitator shafts and outlets are made from 100 percent stainless steel, along with the hopper bottom and other wearing parts. Spreader frames are welded and equipped with a removable hopper for easy maintenance. The low-maintenance gear box and oil bath, both made from cast iron, ensure reliability and longevity. An optional attachment can be installed in just a few seconds for precise spreading on two rows. On MDS models 10.1 to 12.1, the narrowed hopper provides easy access and application to orchards and vineyards.
