Kuhn Axis 50.1, AE50 award

Kuhn was recently awarded an AE50 award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).

This AE50 award was given to Kuhn for their Kuhn Axis precision fertilizer spreader, deeming it one of the year's most innovative designs in engineering products for the food and agriculture industries. The Kuhn Axis fertilizer spreader will be featured in the January/February 2015 special AE50 issue of ASABE's magazine Resource: Engineering & Technology for a Sustainable World.

"Receiving this recognition is a tremendous accomplishment for Kuhn. The H-EMC line of fertilizer spreaders has unique and powerful capabilities to offer farmers. This award will help further broadcast the message of increased application and distribution precision these machines offer, and how it can significantly reduce over-application of expensive inputs and maximize a crop's growing potential," said Ryan Pearcy, Product Manager.

The Kuhn Axis fertilizer spreader provides precise control of the application rate, helping maximize crop yield while minimizing expenses. Unique Kuhn solutions provide absolute spreading precision: CDA distribution, GPS control, Kuhn's weighing system and EMC technology for automatic adaptation of the application rate during spreading.

"The AE 50 award is something we are very proud of and is a reflection of the commitment to development of our product lines with the ultimate goal of making farmers more productive and efficient in their operations," said Pearcy.

Companies from around the world submit entries to the annual AE50 competition and up to 50 of the best products are chosen by a panel of international engineering experts. The judges select products that will best advance engineering for the food and agriculture industries.
