The worldwide headquarters' of Krone located in Spelle, Germany is pleased to announce the opening of their new Technology Center.
As Krone North America continues to invest in the future so does the German headquarters. Krone has invested over $61 million to develop a top of the line Technology Center to keep up with company's growth.
The new Technology Center will allow Krone to continue to excel in production of a premium product that is tailored to the needs of professional hay and forage producers.
The Krone Technology Center contains offices for nearly 500 employees from a range of departments: Research and Development, Testing, Prototyping, Information Technology, Procurement, Technical Marketing, Product Management and Project Management.
The five-story building has 86,111 ft² of office space with 53,820 ft² for prototype assembly. Krone's investment in the Technology Center continues to show the dedication to produce top-quality, innovative, performance engineered hay and forage equipment.
Company owner Bernard Krone explained the overall concept behind the Maschinenfabrik 2015 project.
"Krone has been investing systematically and on a large scale at the Spelle site over the recent years to increase the efficiency of production and all associated processes in the agricultural machinery plant. The expansion of the Logistics Center, the inauguration of our new Training Center, the new BiG X assembly line and not least of course the construction of our new Technology Center has put us in a strong position. This program has laid solid foundations for further growth," explains Bernard Krone.
During the past financial year the Krone agricultural machinery and Krone commercial trailer divisions together with their sales subsidiaries have generated revenue of more than $1.9 billion. The recent and future investments by Krone will allow for uncompromising performance across all aspects of business, from the product to the people.
