Krone logoHay and silage producers now have another choice within the Comprima round baler line from Krone with the introduction of the new Comprima F 155 XC. The new model continues the Krone Comprima advantages of exceptional bale densities, high throughput and smooth operations. The Comprima F 155 XC produces 4' wide and 39" to 60" high bales.

The X-Cut knife system within the Comprima F 155 XC contains 17 knives that produces bales ideal for TMR mixers. The knife drawer folds down hydraulically from the tractor cab to allow any blockages to pass through to the baling chamber. This eliminates the need to get out of the tractor to remove a blockage.

This model contains the simple-to-use Beta monitor, which allows the operator to make multiple adjustments from the cab, maintain bale counts and more.

The Comprima F 155 XC is a fixed chamber baler with a semi-variable bale size. Operators can manually change bale size with ease by adjusting a set of pins toward the rear of the baler.

As the bale increases in diameter, it forces the Novogrip belt off the guide rollers so the bale can continue to increase in size. Also, a spring-loaded tensioning bar lowers to ease the restraint on the elevator, allowing the bale to expand to the desired size.

The innovative Novogrip Press System sets the Comprima apart from other balers. The Novogrip belt is made of various layers of fabric and rubber to provide strength and durability. It is the combination of belts and slats that add benefits to the traditional chain and slat design found on Krone round balers.

The slats are mounted horizontally on each of the belts. As the crop enters the bale chamber, the slats immediately grip it and begin rotating the material to form the core.

In all types of crop and conditions, the slats rotate the bale without slipping. The Comprima can efficiently bale all types of materials including silage, dry hay and straw.

"The Comprima balers are simple in their overall design, but all of their components are some of the stoutest in the industry," says Adam Verner, Product Marketing Manager for Krone. "These balers are designed with the operator in mind and will defiantly improve baling efficiency, bale density and lower the overall maintenance cost."
