Kemin president and CEO Dr. Chris Nelson announces Daryl Schraad is the new president of the company's North American animal nutrition and health division beginning today.

Schraad joins Kemin at a time when the animal nutrition and health division in North America is experiencing significant growth in the monogastric and ruminant markets. In response to this growth, Jeff Murphy, previous president of the division, transitions to a newly developed role as senior vice president of the commercial ruminant team. Doug Macklin will serve as the director of the commercial monogastric team.

Schraad has extensive background in business development, sales and marketing. Prior to joining Kemin, Schraad was president of AHD, an animal health marketing and technology company based in Denver, Colo. AHD manages a growing portfolio of web-based technology and marketing companies that provide sales, marketing and business development solutions to human and animal healthcare companies throughout the world.

Schraad also served as the executive vice president of sales and marketing at Professional Veterinary Products (PVPL), an animal healthcare distribution company; senior vice president at VetCentric, Inc., a technology, digital marketing and pharmacy provider for veterinarians; and vice president of sales and business development for BioScrip, a pharmacy and healthcare solutions provider.
