International Protein Sires now has three daughter proven sires that qualify for the Holstein Association's prestigious TOP 100 TPI list. Leading IPS is the Top 100 USA TPI sire ranking at #44 is 566HO588 GILBY with +2221 GTPI. GILBY also made his debut on the World's TOP 100 TPI list at #53. A strong production bull at +1,432M, GILBY excels in foot and leg composite at +1.51 along with type just under +1.00. A multi-achiever, GILBY shows +4.5 productive life and 2.75 somatic cell score. GILBY has the rare combination of strength and 6.8% calving ease. Sired by Garrett, GILBY descends from a blue-collar production family. His dam, grandam and third dam are all classified Very Good with Very Good or Excellent udders.

Another member of the Top 100 USA TPI is 566HO1185 BJORN who comes in at +2164 GTPI. BJORN's superior protein improvement of +0.05% with +52 lbs. ranks him #10 in the breed. BJORN is touted as a strength bull while being an excellent source of milk at +1,316M. Sired by Bolton, BJORN's maternal sire stack is O-Man, Aaron and Elton, all with superb milk records and excellent protein test. BJORN's distinctive parentage is free of DNA from the following: Planet, Shottle, Goldwyn, Jocko Besne, BW Marshall and Durham.

566HO1226 PARIDE, failed to be identified for the TOP 100 TPI list, however his +2159 GTPI would have qualified. A solid bull for milk yield at +1024M, PARIDE excels in type at +1.92, udder composite at +2.59 along with foot and leg composite at +1.60. PARIDE is a son of Dorcy while his dam is an EX-92 Shottle daughter. His grandam is an EX-91 Outside daughter. And, the third dam is an EX-91 daughter of Rudolph.

IPS landed five daughter proven bulls on the Top 50 TPI Red and Red Carrier list. 566HO510 AVATAR RC is the IPS leader at +1979 GTPI, ranked at #6. He is the #1 fat bull among the top 50 Red and Red Carriers with 76 lbs. AVATAR is the Shottle son from KHW Regiment Apple-Red (EX-96).

A new addition to the Top 50 is 566HO599 REALTIME-Red at +1902 GTPI, ranked at #12. REALTIME-Red is rated #3 for udder composite at +2.14 among the TOP 50 Red and Red Carriers. This red leader is a Lion King son from an Excellent Talent daughter that produced 40,110 pounds milk.

Another shining star among the Top 50 Red and Red Carriers is 54HO553 RAINY RC. RAINY is the #2 type bull among the TOP 50 at +2.53. He also excels in udder composite at +2.12. This son of Sanchez descends from Rainyridge Talent Barbara (EX-95) with 37,970 pounds milk. His grandam is an EX-95 daughter of Outside while the third dam is also EX.

Rounding out the IPS bulls among the Top 50 is 566HO1192 APPLE JACK-Red ranked #46 and 54HO552 BARBWIRE-Red ranked #49. Both bulls have superior type with show winning class. It should be noted that twenty seven BARBWIRE daughters were shown at World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin last year.

For the past several years IPS bulls have led the Semen Conception Ratings. Following the previous sire summary, USDA discovered an error in calculating conception information on these bulls. With the April 2015 sire summaries, USDA has assured IPS of accurate computations. Subsequently, these leading bulls continue to maintain high conception ratings, as follows: 99HO7660 AXFORD at +3.2 on 884 inseminations, 99HO6145 BARRY at +2.2 on 6,904 inseminations, 99HO7070 JEHOSAPHAT at +1.6 on 1,677 inseminations and 566HO1192 APPLE JACK-Red at +1.0 on 1,515 inseminations.
