Dr. John Newton Announced as Speaker for October Hoard's Dairyman Webinar Sponsored by Zinpro Corporation
The upcoming Hoard's Dairyman monthly webinar in October titled "Margin Protection What's Right for You?" will be held on Monday, October 13 (12 p.m. 1 p.m. CST), and features Dr. John Newton from the University of Illinois.
In the webinar, sponsored by Zinpro Corporation, Dr. Newton will present information on the new USDA-sponsored Margin Protection Program Dairy (MPP-Dairy). He will explain how it may help dairy operators manage margin risk, review key sign-up and enrollment dates, and will engage participants with demonstrations using the USDA-sponsored MPP-Dairy decision tool. The University of Illinois developed a dashboard calculator that allows a dairy producer to enter in personalized farm inputs to calculate which level of protection will best suit the dairy.
