Ron HinrichsenRon Hinrichsen has been named national sales manager to help producers use bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) persistent infection (PI) testing to earn a $14 per head premium for BVD-PI-free calves. With deep, foundational knowledge of animal health gained from more than 16 years of sales experience with Merck Animal Health, Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health and MWI Veterinary Supply, Hinrichsen will help communicate return on investment for the company's diagnostic services. He earned a bachelor's degree in animal science from Kansas State University. Currently president of the Kansas Angus Association and the Kansas State Fair Board, and a director of the Kansas Rural Communities Foundation, Hinrichsen is active with his family's seedstock operation and is a member of the American Angus Association.



Rebecca MullerRebecca Muller has been hired as a molecular biology lab technician and will be based in the Jarrell service laboratory. Muller will be responsible for efficiently processing samples through the laboratory, as well as expanding marketing opportunities for Gold Standard Labs. Her interest in the cattle industry began at a young age when she started riding horses and grew when she entered college. Muller received a bachelor's degree in animal science with a minor in business administration from Texas A&M University – College Station, where she was a member of the university's award-winning horse judging team.





Valerie VegaAlso based at the Jarrell service laboratory, Valerie Vega has been hired as a technical application scientist II. Vega will establish and manage optimal end-to-end processes to provide top-quality customer service, building on her extensive experience deploying laboratory sites in the United States, Canada and Europe. She obtained a bachelor's degree in agriculture and animal science from Prairie View A&M University after developing a passion for agriculture as a member of her high school FFA chapter in Houston.
