The Selection Committee chose these ten students based on their academic record, essay, extra-curricular activities, work experience, and leadership skills. Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship to continue their education.

Patron & Employee Scholarship Recipients

Glanbia Scholarship DeVriesCybrina Layne DeVries, daughter of Curtis and Cynthia DeVries of Carousel Farms in Kuna, Idaho graduated from Nampa Christian in May 2014. She was class Vice President, captain of the cheer team, a four-year athlete in Track and Field, and Homecoming Princess. She will be attending Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa in the fall of 2014.






Glanbia Scholarship FitzgeraldBrooke Fitzgerald, daughter of Andrew and Michele Fitzgerald from Shoshone, Idaho, graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Twin Falls High School in 2014. There, she participated in theater, NHS, speech and debate, the school newspaper, GSA, and all-star cheerleading. Brooke will attend Hampshire College in Amherst, MA this fall to study Psychology and Neuroscience.






Glanbia Scholarship HubertKolton Hubert of Dietrich, Idaho has lived on a family dairy farm his entire life and plans to pursue an education at the College of Southern Idaho to study Animal Science. He has always loved agriculture and is excited to be able to contribute to the agriculture of his community.






Glanbia Scholarship LloydJaime Lloyd, daughter of Fred and Doris Lloyd, recently graduated from Jerome High school. She is excited to attend Brigham Young University to study Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations. She plans to work on the board of the Special Olympics.






Glanbia Scholarship RoeloffsArie John Roeloffs, son of Arie and Coralee Roeloffs of Southfield Dairy in Wendell, Idaho, graduated from Wendell High School with a GPA of 3.66. He plans to attend Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa to major in Agricultural-Business. After college, he hopes to continue in the footsteps of his father and grandfather as a multigenerational dairy farmer.






Glanbia Food & Dairy Science Scholarship Recipients

Glanbia Scholarship EllsworthSeth Ellsworth is a senior in the undergraduate Food Science program at Brigham Young University. He intends to further his education with a MS or PhD in Food Science and MBA. Seth plans "to improve the food supply chain and develop nutrition rich food products that will alleviate the hunger in the world."






Glanbia Scholarship HubertDaniel Hubert of Alpine, Utah is a senior in Food Science at Brigham Young University. He has served an LDS mission in Bulgaria for two years and is fluent in Bulgarian. He is also a dedicated student athlete on BYU's rugby team.






Glanbia Scholarship KimJason Kim of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania is currently an application scientist intern in the nutritionals portion at Glanbia in Twin Falls, ID. After this summer, he will return to Brigham Young University to finish his bachelor's degree in Food Science. He plans to further his education in Food Science by pursing a master's degree to prepare to work in research and development.






Glanbia Scholarship MilliganLindsay Milligan of Idaho Falls, Idaho is a rising senior in the Food Science program at the University of Idaho. She has been active in the Food Science club throughout her college career; she has been club Treasurer and club Vice President, and was elected club President for 2014-2015. This summer she is working as an intern in Product Development at BAF.




Glanbia Scholarship RoyerMitchel Royer of Cambridge, Idaho graduated from Cambridge High School in May 2014 where his 4.0 GPA earned him recognition as Co-Valedictorian. Active through high school in the FFA, Mitch is currently serving as the 2014-2015 Idaho State FFA President. Mitch is enrolled this fall as a Food Science major at the University of Idaho where his planned emphasis will be in food research, development and business.
