DM50 Series Disc Mowers and TD34 Series Tedders provide a cost effective way to work fast and efficient

John DeereWhether operators have weedy ditches to mow or a field of hay to cut, windrow, and dry, Frontier has a new line of hay equipment designed for the job. The new DM50 Series Disc Mowers and TD34 Series Tedders are designed to improve uptime when operating in the field. From simplified quick hitch capabilities to in-cab transport controls, the DM50 Series Disc Mowers and TD34 Series Tedders have a variety of features to streamline work for the operator.

John Deere"The Frontier DM5050, DM5060, and DM5070 Disc mowers offer four key features to improve performance, uptime and lower the cost of operation," says Pat Hosty, product manager Frontier Equipment portfolio extensions. "These key features include quick hitch compatibility, park stand and latch convenience system, shear hub assembly serviceability, and an easy-to-use transport lock system."

The DM5050 and DM5060 are CAT 1 & 2 hitch compatible and the DM5070 is CAT 2 compatible only. A park stand and arm system work together in parked position to transfer the weight of the mower to the cutter-bar which allows easy attachment and detachment of the mowers to and from a tractor.

Frontier Equipment is also replacing the TD24 Series Hay Tedders with the updated 3418 and 3427 Tedders. The TD3418 offers four rotor tedders and has a working width of 18-ft. 2-in. A larger model tedder, the TD3427, offers six rotor tedders and a working width of 26-ft. 6-in.
"These new tedders provide increased reliability, durability and productivity when spreading and drying down the hay through the use of new finger joint couplers to drive the rotors," says Hosty. "TD34 Series Tedders are designed with performance in mind to give customers an economically priced machine with many convenient features."

The new tedders feature in-cab controls to conveniently adjust tine pitch height, allowing for quick adjustment in variable terrain conditions.

The TD3427 has a hands-free transport wheel locking system which helps when backing up the machine as well as traveling at higher speeds on the road between fields. Additional clearance has been designed into the transport wheel frame to increase crop flow and prevent wrapping of the crop around the frame.

"The new mowers and tedders are being offered with premium features at an economical price," explains Hosty. "A broad range of customers will be interested in purchasing these hay tools to reduce downtime and improve overall cost of operation."
