Ann Marie Ames Filament Marketing, LLC announces the hiring of Ann Marie Ames as a marketing executive, specializing in content development. Ames will work with the company's client management team assisting with strategic marketing communications plans and initiatives.

Ames joins the Filament team after two years with Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. There, Ames worked in a number of capacities, most recently as the communications specialist for the agency's division of agricultural market development. Previously, she worked for six years as a reporter at The Janesville Gazette. Much of her work at The Janesville Gazette was focused on agriculture. Ames also was the host of "Ag Matters," a weekly radio talk show.

"Ann Marie's hands-on experience in agricultural journalism and broadcasting make her a great addition to the Filament team," says Megan Hayes, senior marketing manager with Filament Marketing. "Her ability to use her innate writing skills to develop quality content will be an asset to our clients and the Filament team."

Ames' agriculture education began on her grandparents' registered Holstein farm in southern Wisconsin. Along with her family, she grew up showing cattle at local and state fairs. In 2012, Ames earned an associate degree from UW-Rock County. Currently, she volunteers to develop and implement outreach strategies and materials for The Literacy Connection, a nonprofit organization serving Janesville and northern Rock County.
