Dow AgroSciences Donates $100,000 to Assist Farmers in Six States With Flood Relief Efforts

With recent devastating floods destroying many U.S. farms, Dow AgroSciences, through The Dow Chemical Company Foundation, donated $100,000 to help with flood relief efforts in six states. Thousands of Dow AgroSciences’ customer locations and millions of acres have been impacted in the Midwest and Midsouth regions, and the funds will be used in efforts to help the agricultural community recover from the flood damage.

“Dow AgroSciences empathizes with the hardship the flooding has created for farmers and their families,” said Stan Howell, Dow AgroSciences vice president, North America. “The toll on the people and land in this vital sector of the U.S. economy is tremendous. We hope that the support provided will offset some of the impact and help farmers get back on their feet.”

The $100,000 donation was provided to six organizations serving the agricultural communities in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota and Tennessee. Organizations receiving donations were the Arkansas Rice Depot, Louisiana Cattlemen’s Foundation, Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation, Missouri Department of Agriculture Disaster Relief Fund, North Dakota Farm Bureau Foundation, and The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Farm Disaster Response Fund.
