Double S Liquid Feed Services, a leading manufacturer and supplier of cane molasses, vegetable oils, beet molasses, fish oil and mineral oil products, has promoted Tim Trattles to Eastern Sales Manager. Trattles, Burr Oak, Mich., joined Double S in 2003 after graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in animal science and agriculture business specialization. "Tim's drive to succeed and his ability to get the job done really help our customers," says Scott Yocum, Double S National Sales Manager. "He uses his in-depth knowledge of animal science and our products to help feed manufactures enhance their business by staying on the cutting edge of animal nutrition."
Along with a sales career at Double S, Trattles owns and operates with his family a small, high-quality beef and pig operation. They have bred and showed several state and national champion Shorthorns and Yorkshires. "Tim's hands-on livestock experience has helped Double S grow its product and service offerings," adds Yocum. "He is a valuable asset to our company."
As Eastern Sales Manager, Trattles will supervise all accounts east of the Mississippi (except in Wisconsin), along with maintaining his previous coverage of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.
In addition to promoting Trattles, Double S has added two Market Development Specialists. Steve Potter and Stutsman, Inc., join the Double S team, replacing John McCoy who recently retired from Double S after a long, successful career with the company. Potter covers Southern Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Southern Kansas, while Stutsman covers Iowa, Nebraska, Northern Missouri, Northern Kansas, Southern Minnesota and Wisconsin. They join Mark Miller (Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia).
