Daniel DonnellyMinnesota Select Sires Co-Op, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of Daniel Donnelly as beef business manager. In this role, Donnelly will oversee beef sales, service programs and products as well as grow and develop beef programs in Minnesota and North Dakota. He will recruit and direct independent beef representatives and conduct A.I. training programs.

"I am excited and humbled to be joining the Minnesota Select Sires team and to pursue my passion of the beef cattle industry," says Donnelly. "This is an excellent opportunity to work with beef producers in Minnesota and North Dakota while promoting and selling products from the industry leader that Select Sires has proven itself to be."

Donnelly, a native of Farmington, Minn., is a December 2014 graduate of North Dakota State University where he received a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics with a minor in animal science. Most recently he served as the Australian ambassador for the American Shorthorn Association establishing relationships with Shorthorn breeders and marketing genetics. Donnelly has held other internships with River Country Cooperative and Minnesota Select Sires Co-Op, Inc. and worked for Jungels Shorthorn Farm and Minnesota State Fair where he gained A.I. training, sales and livestock handling experience.

"His passion for beef and our customers' breeding success will help us with the unprecedented expansion of commercial beef producers using Select Sires genetics in North Dakota and Minnesota."

Donnelly's past experience breeding beef cattle and serving Minnesota Select Sires' customer-owners will benefit him in his new position.

"Working alongside Dan doing breeding projects when he was an intern made me a believer," explains Shane Talkington, independent beef representative. "His commitment to our customer-owners is real and his knowledge of genetics, reproduction and the beef industry will be an asset to all of us."
