Late entries accepted until August 28; online registration available



PA DOA logoThe entry window is closing for dairy producers and dairy industry youth to register for shows and contests at The Artistry of Dairy: The 2015 All-American Dairy Show. The show runs September 12-17 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center and features the Premier National Junior Events September 12-15.

The normal entry deadline for the shows is August 14. Entry fees raise $10 from August 15-28 and even more through September 13.

New this year, animals must be identified with 840-numbered radio frequency or electronic identification (RFID/EID) tags that meet recently-tightened federal traceability standards.

The All-American hosts several youth contests: the All-American Invitational Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Contest on Monday of the show and the Junior Management Contest and the Dairy Judging Forum, both on Tuesday of the show. Registration deadline for each contest is Friday, Sept. 4.

Enter online at www.allamerican.state.pa.us or mail an entry form to the All-American Dairy Show, Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, 2300 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Registration will be available from 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, September 12, and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Sunday, September 13, for the All-American Youth Showmanship Contest on Sunday of the show register

The show will again recognize the Supreme Champion Bred and Owned animal, with the winner receiving the use of a gooseneck stock trailer for one year.

The All-American Dairy Show features 22 shows in six days in addition to the nation's only all-dairy antiques show. Last year's show featured nearly 2,800 animals and more than 1,300 exhibitors from across the nation.
