Effective September 30th 2014, Dan Foor will take over the reins of La Crosse Seed from Paul Curran, who had been the company's Chief Executive Officer since 2000. Mr. Curran will remain active as Chairman of the Board."Dan has done a tremendous job leading our organization's significant growth since joining us a little over two years ago as our Chief Operating Officer," says Curran. "Notably, Dan has led the successful expansion of our business with a key acquisition and new staff that were part of it. Dan has empowered our staff to build out our existing growth platforms in turf, forage, native and small grain seeds and he has been the driving force behind our leadership goal in cover crop seed; all while fostering an entrepreneurial spirit amongst our entire team."
Prior to joining La Crosse Seed in 2011 as Chief Operating Officer, Foor, a Muscatine Iowa native, held various leadership roles at Monsanto Company, including two international assignments in Latin America. Before joining Monsanto in 1999, Foor spent five years with Becker-Underwood in various market development and sales roles. He earned his Executive Masters in International Business from Saint Louis University in 2008 and Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University in 1990.

In his new role as CEO, Foor will be wholly responsible for directing the business activities of La Crosse Seed while continuing to refine and execute the company's long range growth plans. Paul Curran will continue advising Foor and other members of the La Crosse Seed leadership team from his post as Board Chairman. Two other Curran family members who have been with La Crosse Seed for 30+ years will also expand their leadership within the company: In addition to his duties as Vice President of Key Account Acquisition, Jeff Curran will also become the company's Lead Buyer; while Tom Curran will continue as Vice President of Operations.
