Announcing the upcoming Dairyland Initiative Workshop on Designing Supplemental Positive Pressure Ventilation Systems for Calf & Heifer Barns!

When: February 20, 2013
Where: Sheraton Madison Hotel, Madison, Wisconsin
Schedule and Details: view the online Brochure at The Dairyland Initiative website
Online Registration: www.vetmed.wisc.edu/ce; see the Brochure for registration by Phone or Fax
Cost: $325, which includes the Positive Pressure Ventilation Tube Calculator spreadsheet, future updates and support, recognition on the Dairyland Initiative website as a trained PPVT consultant, and lunch and breaks throughout the full-day program.

Participants will learn to design systems to deliver appropriate volumes of fresh air to calves without causing drafts, with specifications created using the Dairyland Initiative's Positive Pressure Ventilation Tube Calculator spreadsheet available only to workshop participants. Optimal design of naturally ventilated calf barns will also be covered. Only 40 seats are available for this course, ensuring plenty of opportunity for interaction with the instruction team as you work through problem sets for this hands-on learning experience. The workshop will be presented by Dr. Ken Nordlund, with assistance from Dr. Becky Brotzman, Dr. Arturo Gomez, Tom Bennett and Chris Eisele of the Food Animal Production Medicine section in the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.
