Executives from Leprino Foods, Schreiber Foods, Dean Foods and Maddox Dairy Ltd. have been appointed to the Dairy Council of California board of directors by Karen Ross, secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture.

Dairy Council of California is pleased to add Peggy Poole, vice president of R&D, Leprino Foods; Mark Webster, plant manager, Schreiber Foods; Veronica Rendon, director of field marketing, west region, Dean Foods; and Stephen D. Maddox, owner, Maddox Dairy Ltd. to its board of directors.

"Each individual comes to the table with a range of experience and accomplishments that will not only assist Dairy Council of California in its effort to reach more kids and parents, more times and in more ways, but will also contribute to our charge to continue to elevate milk and dairy foods' health portfolio as an essential part of a healthy diet," said Tammy Anderson-Wise, Dairy Council of California CEO.

The new board members will each serve a two-year term and help guide and oversee Dairy Council of California through the implementation of its strategic plan, which includes a wide range of nutrition education initiatives and dairy advocacy efforts.
